Saint Félix beach

A wild, empty beach of golden sand under filao trees on the south coast: for walks and picnics, not for swimming.

Saint Félix lies between Bel Ombre and Souillac, where the reef is broken and the ocean comes almost to the shore. There's little here except sand, filao trees and the sound of the waves, which is exactly the point.

Swimming isn't recommended: currents are strong and there are stonefish on the seabed. Come for a walk, a picnic in the shade and the wild atmosphere.

  • Empty and wild
  • Filao shade for picnics
  • On the south coast beach walk
