The south coast between Bel Ombre and Souillac is the island's wildest and least touristy. Riambel is a long public beach with a lagoon and casuarinas; Saint-Félix, a little west, is similar and has a well-known rum bar and grill.

A great lunch-and-swim stop on a road trip to Gris Gris and the tea and rum estates.
