The west coast has the most varied diving in Mauritius. Classic sites include the Cathedral (a cavern with light beams, 25 m), Rempart Serpent (a long rock with lionfish, moray eels and stonefish), Couline Bambou and the Tug II wreck. Dive centres in Flic en Flac and Tamarin run two dives a day and try-dives for beginners in the lagoon.
Visibility is often 20–30 m in summer.
