La Vallée des Couleurs, in the hills above Chemin Grenier, has its own coloured-earth site (23 colours, they say), several waterfalls, endemic trees, giant tortoises and viewpoints over the south coast. Its 'Nepalese bridge' and the huge zip line (over 1.5 km across the valley) attract thrill-seekers; quad and buggy tours are also available.
Quieter than Chamarel, and good for an active half day on a south-coast trip.
