Piton Savanne
A quiet hike on the southern edge of the plateau to a 715 m summit with a panorama over the green south coast.
Piton Savanne rises above the tea plantations of Bois Chéri on the southern rim of the Black River Gorges. The trail starts on the B102 road, crosses forest and open heath, and finishes with a short scramble to the summit, which looks out over the whole south coast from Bel Ombre to Souillac.
A good, uncrowded half-day hike to combine with the tea estate.
