Snorkelling the La Preneuse reef by boat
The reef in front of the villa, by boat from La Preneuse: corals in good condition, parrotfish and humphead wrasse, ten minutes from the beach.
The lagoon off La Preneuse and Black River is less visited than Flic en Flac or Blue Bay, and its corals are in good condition. Local boatmen from La Preneuse beach and the Black River jetties take you out to the best patches inside the reef, where you can see giant parrotfish, humphead wrasse, angelfish and sometimes turtles.
Often combined with the early-morning dolphin trips: ask for a longer snorkel stop on the way back.
