Ebony Forest Reserve is a conservation project replanting native ebony and other endemic trees on the slopes above Chamarel. Guided walks, or a shuttle, lead along a raised walkway through the forest to Sublime Point, with one of the most spectacular views on the island: Le Morne, the lagoon, Case Noyale and the Black River plains.

You may see pink pigeons, echo parakeets and Mauritius fodies. Visits support the conservation work.
