La Cambuse and nearby Le Bouchon are wild beaches on the south-east coast, just beyond the end of the airport runway. There's no hotel and often almost no one: just sand, filao trees and waves breaking on the reef close to the shore.
Perfect for a walk or a picnic on the way to or from the airport, but currents can be strong: swim only on calm days and near the shore.
