Where the Tamarin River meets the bay, kayaks set off upstream on flat water. The river splits into two arms, with the Rempart and Trois Mamelles on one side and La Tourelle du Tamarin on the other; you may see moorhens, herons, flying foxes and macaques. Rent a kayak by the hour (Lakaz Kayak, on the river) or join a guided sunrise or sundowner tour.
