Île aux Cerfs is a small island off the east coast with some of the island's most photographed beaches and a huge shallow lagoon. Speedboats from Trou d'Eau Douce take 15 minutes, often via the Grande Rivière Sud-Est, where a waterfall tumbles into the river.

The main beach can be crowded with day-trippers; walk 10–15 minutes along the shore to find quieter spots. It's a long day from the villa (1h30 each way).

  • 🚕 Taxi from the villa: about Rs 2,700–3,600 one way per car (agree the price first; a return trip with waiting time is often negotiable).

📅 Booking: Speedboats at Trou d'Eau Douce jetty (compare prices) or book a catamaran day in advance.

Tips

  • 💡 Leave the villa by 7:30: roads through Quatre Bornes and Moka are busy.
  • 💡 Walk away from the landing beach to find a quiet spot.
