The Balaclava Marine Park protects Turtle Bay and the lagoon near Pointe aux Piments, where green turtles used to nest. Snorkel from the public access at Balaclava or take a glass-bottom boat or snorkel trip from the nearby hotels and operators: coral gardens, parrotfish, butterflyfish and sometimes turtles.
